Benefits of Maitake Mushrooms

Because of their immunity-optimizing and anti-inflammatory properties, maitake extracts have been studied for potential benefits in regards to a wide range of conditions. The extract has also been explored as an aid in treatment for septic shock, asthma, and autoimmune joint inflammation. Maitake is has a good source of B vitamins (niacin, riboflavin, thiamine, folate), copper, potassium, and phosphorus. The mushrooms also contain smaller amounts of zinc, manganese, selenium, and vitamin B6.
